Which paint color...?

I am moving into a place that has a living room and a little dining area attached. My living room furniture color is similar to this:

Mine is supposed to be brick red, so it looks just slightly dark.

My kitchen table has yellowish brown wood with a crazy marble countertop with blues, grays, and veined with the same yellowish brown color. Kinda like this if you can imagine grayish-blue spots (which look like fossils):

I'm a geologist and I've still yet to ID the type of marble (Any ideas on that as well?).

Anyway, the original dining area wall is already red. You can see pictures here of the dining room and living room:

So, what color to paint the walls? I might paint either or both.Which paint color...?

On that thingy, the color caramel sundae, or glazed pecan.
I would leave the dining room walls as is. I think that's a great color. I think I would go with an olive green in the living room - like ';willow tree'; by sherwin williams:

If you're looking to paint the kitchen, what would think of a neutral like ';prairie grass?';
Mocha
i would do a choclate brown with the red and the marble it would look real good with brown accent pillows on your sofa.and red curtains.
I think you need to get rid of the red (too much red with the couch, for one room), paint the walls an off white color. Maybe do the red wall, a black, or brown, to off set it.
