Brown Couches...low light...what color to paint?

We have mocha colored microsuede couches, tan carpeting and oak furniture...I'm thinking Icy Blue colored walls, hubby says blue is for the bedroom...HELP! any other color ideas would help. Thanks!Brown Couches...low light...what color to paint?
I think that an icy blue would look fab, but... if that's a ';no,'; then what about a green? Something like Glidden's ';cast shadow'; or ';autumn mist.'; And if you have any trim, you could use a darker color, like ';Lindy's Garden';.Brown Couches...low light...what color to paint?
what about sage green? or a soft yellow
How about a cranberry color? You can use accent pillows in the same color for the sofa. An additional color for accent would be tan. Good luck.
LIGHT CORAL,OR LIGHT YELLOW
I would suggest a cream color! I would pick up the mocha color on your trim.
Eggshell white. Sounds boring, but low light sounds like you will need a light color and the colors of all of your stuff sounds like you will need a neutral tone of paint. You could dress up your walls with large framed black and white photography with directional lighting on them of you and your husband and/or kids. Put an arrangement of something like bright red, silk poppies in a prominent spot so you can have some color. Have fun. I wouldn't go with the blue, either.
How about a cream color?
You need a vibrant, electric, but subtle color.

I would go for red or burgundy.

Somewhere in that range!
u should paint it so it looks like a cafe.. oo.. dats gonna be pretty.. lol

but um.. i think a very very light mocha brown for da walls

or a very light light green for da walls will be pretty and soothing for low light.
try a two tone make a horizontal line and put a tan on top (if you have a Sherwin Williams store they have a nice color called china doll) and a chocolate brown on bottom it will look nice and you can add accents throughout your living room that add color like maroon or Burgundy pillows and rugs it will brighten it up also get yourself some swirly florescent light bulbs they add excellent light and energy saving and they last ';7 years';
Blue can be a downer color so I would go for a soft yellow with that combo.
I had something like that and I had did a creamy tan white color with 1 deep red accent wall.
definitely not tan..this will drown out the room, especially with the carpet...a royal red color would do lovelyyyyyy
It depends on the size of the room, and whether you want it to look bigger or smaller. I personally like darker colors, but I know a lot of people like lighter ones. If it were me, I would do a tan color...a little darker than your carpeting. This way it is in between the two shades of brown that you have, and it will look good with the oak furniture. You can do a lot with those colors though. Maybe look at your pillow colors or rug, or other accent pieces and decide from that. (If you don't have any yet, it would be a good place to start. Decide what you want to decorate with and then pick a color to compliment).
i like the beige or cream. possibly white.
Cream.
Pale blue is nice or a soft cream, harvest wheat.
a rich red would look fantastic
hubby has no artistic insight. forget his opinion, ask the interior decorator at the homedepot or lowes . but look on a color chart and look opposite the color of your furniture and the opposite is a perfect choice. I personally think red is a great choice or the color of a paper bag, tan but without the pink in the tan. very rich.
.I like the cream color idea, a light tan, beige color. Some thing that will blend with the decor
