Well it is not in the vin code. It is on the body tag located in the engine compartment on the fire wall

The vin will not tell you anything about your paint. Your paint code (depending on the year of your truck) is located on the drivers door jamb. Should be a small (about 4 inches)white square sticker with writing on it. The code is normally a three digit pin labeled ';Ext. paint'; or similar.
