im 13 and i want something fun but not too crazy/something ill get bored with
i dont want anything DARK... the color should open up the room
any ideas...?
im thinking maybe a light green...? does anyone know how that would turn out? What color should i paint my room?
I think a light aqua would look great. It works with greens and purples. Before you decide on a wall color, choose your bedding. It's alot easier to find a paint shade to match the bedding than the other way around.

Something like the lightest shade of aqua in this bedding. Then you can accent with the green if you want. What color should i paint my room?
im 13 too and i wouldnt blame you for not wanting anything dark.
a light green would look really nice or a light bluee.
but i'd go for the green. some of my friends have light green walls and they look really nice, especially with like white furniture and a colorful comforter.
Light green would be cute. I'm 13 too and my room is light pink. After we painted it my parents bought me wall stickers to add more color and I love it. It's not boring and it's not dark. Maybe you could do green and then some wall stickers and posters. You can get wall stickers at Walmart, craft stores, or Dollar Tree. Hope I helped!
Dear Isha,
I just answered a similar question for Jen and I am happy to do the same for you.
If you will go to the following line, you will be able to visualize your colors (copy all of the following link):

It is actually fascinating. You will ';color'; the room with your carpet color and your drapery color and then you can put various colors on the walls to ';visualize'; what the finished room will look like. This could keep you from making a mistake.
Remember, you can tie the wall color into the rest of the room by using it in pillows (print or solid) and maybe an area rug (preferrably print) over the carpet, cover a lampshade, flower arrangement, etc.
I can see your bedroom in pale lime green with not-quite-white woodwork. Actually I LOVE this combination.
Another great feature of this website is that you can ';see'; the walls in different shades of the same color. Shades can make a room appear to be a totally different color, considering the huge difference shades-of-one-color can make.
Don't forget that you can faux paint the walls. I did this a couple of weeks ago and it was fun and looks fabulous. I used a sponge with two colors of paint on it (a small amount of dark green drizzle over white. Dip the sponge in one color paint and then sprinkle another color on the same sponge and blot on wall. Be careful around the top, bottom, and corners of the walls-make it look good first so you don't have to go over it like I did.)
Have a good time with this project.
Dolores
light green and yellow is cute
ok here is what i am doing to my room and it will look great.......
my walls are already a purple....its dark but at the same time really bright and i love it! i am painting the trim silver and one of the walls splatter painted with the silver. its going to be so cool!
also something that i think would look awsome is if the walls were bright yellow with black splatter paint.! :)
i would not go with any thing to light because a light color will eventually fad even lighter and it begins to look very pale
