I want to paint my finished basement, I don't know what color would look nice any suggestions?

I have brown sofas and white carpet.I want to paint my finished basement, I don't know what color would look nice any suggestions?
Blue and brown look nice together. If you want to make the room appear bigger, wainscoting can draw the eye up.I want to paint my finished basement, I don't know what color would look nice any suggestions?
If you had to go with paint that would be a hard decision. I'd say perhaps a darker forest green would look nice maybe. Or maybe just stick with the white??

What I would do is get some nice natural wood siding to put on the wall. Give it a nice looking stain.

Sorry that's all I got, white and brown is hard to work with. Good luck!
I light blue would go nicely with the brown sofa. Unless you have a daylight basement I would stick to a lighter color so the basement doesn't seem like a dark hole.
If the walls are drywall...and you have some light from windows...

a pale aqua would look fantastic. Get throw pillows in a bold white, aqua and another bold color print and throw in some touches of the new bold color throughout the room. It could be in the orange, purple or green hues......see what you can find that will guide you through the completed room. Hope that helps.

Really any color would do for your current color scheme so, I would start by asking yourself what are your favorite colors and then go from there.

If you don't have much light in the room then maybe sticking with a lighter shade.

From there I would take your selection to like Lowes and they have a test sample size of paint that you can buy...get that and some poster board. Paint the poster board so that you have a larger sampling size and put that around the basement. Try to look at it at different times of the day and you will know if that color is right for you.
