if u're sleeping there, be careful... don't let the vibrant colors be at the foot of your bed... use them instead at the head, where fluid stripes will compliment your chair... let the other walls be lighter shades of the base color u settle on

maroon and butter yellow
I think that painting the walls a butter yellow would be wonderful. Another idea is to use strips of masking tapes and then do subtle lines by using polyurethane. Your walls will look like they have stripes. You can easily go to Target or Ikea and find some great bedding that will match. Another great thing would be to have black accessories.
you should paint 2 walls light purple and the other 2 a darker purple
do each wall a diff color
Use a sponge or a rag and tip it in several paints and roll it across the wall. Wear rubber gloves. it will give you a unique pattern. Choose the colors you want such as yellow, off white, and purple and maybe a sprinkle of pink or baby blue and go to town. Paint the trim a solid color
You could paint the walls purple and the closet doors and all the trim yellow. Or vice versa.





Or you could paint three walls purple and one yellow (if you have a window or closet, that would be the perfect wall to make yellow). Then paint the window trim or the closet doors purple to match the three walls. The rest of the trim in the room (moulding, etc.) should be yellow.





Or if you're feeling industrious, you could do a chair rail effect: paint the upper half of the wall purple and the lower half yellow.
whenever i hear someone say they are thinking of using purple orpink i always suggest they use multiple shades and no t just 1 shade. 1 shade is a little boring





i would do an accent wall in a purple faux finish and put some yellow art on it so it pops
Paint mushrooms. I used to use these incence sticks that had diff characters on the packages and their colors were awesome and I always wanted to use them.

You could paint two walls one color and two walls the other, or you could paint big vertical stripes or bubbles.

find a bed spread you like and go off the colors that are on it :)
